Parking and Citation Fees
Contact or visit the Parking & ID card Services office within 5 business days of receiving the citation to see if you are eligible to have the citation reduced to a warning.
- 2-year waive – You are eligible to have one citation waived every two years.
- Handicap waive – Can only be waived once in a lifetime. Individual receiving waive must be owner of disabled placard.
Note: Violations for fire lane, yellow zones, handicap spaces (without a valid disabled placard) cannot be waived.
NMSU students, faculty and staff must request an appeal online within five business days of receiving the citation here.
Visitors must stop by the Parking & ID Card Servies office, located on the second floor of the NMSU bookstore, within five business days of receiving the citation, to fill out appropriate form.
