The Fees page shows the costs for parking permits. A customer may only purchase one permit at the listed cost, except for motorcycle permits which remain the same. Second and subsequent permits must be purchased in person at the Parking Department at the cost identified on the Fees page .
NOTE: Permit prices for the Spring and Summer are pro-rated and will change on December 1st for the Spring semester and on May 1st for the Summer Semester.
If a student or faculty/staff member is only on campus during the fall semester and has purchased an annual parking permit, it can be returned to the Parking Department before January 15 for a partial refund.
Students may purchase north campus resident, south campus resident, commuter student, or motorcycle permits via the links above. Current faculty/staff may purchase inner-lot faculty/staff, outer-lot employee, or motorcycle permits via the links above, as well. Faculty and staff may purchase permits via payroll deduction .
Disabled parking on campus only requires a current state-issued disabled plate or placard be displayed. The Parking Department offers a disabled parking permit to students, faculty, and staff free of charge.

Is the site secure?

- North Resident Permits for students living in Pinon Hall, Juniper Hall, Garcia Hall, RGH, & Chamisa Village. Permits must be picked up at the Parking & ID Card Services office.
- South Resident Permits for students living in Vista Del Monte, Tom Fort/Sutherland Village and Cervantes. Permits must be picked up in the Parking & ID Card Services office.
- Commuter permits for students living off campus. Permits will be mailed.
- Motorcycle permits for students, faculty, staff and visitors.
- Faculty/Staff permits for employees wanting to purchase Crimson or outer-lot areas.
- Visitors permits for public members that frequent the NMSU campus.
Permits are valid from July 1st through August 31st of the following year.
NMSU parking permits are non-replaceable. If a student or faculty/staff member loses their permit, or if it is stolen, they must come to the Parking & ID Services office to fill out a lost/stolen affidavit and purchase another permit at the current price.
- There are free parking lots shown in brown on the campus parking map.
- Disabled parking on campus requires a current state-issued disabled placard or license plate displaying universal wheelchair symbol. Parking meters are also free of charge when disabled placard/plate is displayed properly.
